We support local schools, lecture at universities, and engage in placemaking within our broader community.
We co-founded ‘Build the Way,’ an innovative traineeship for young Londoners to enter the industry with the mission to positively change the built environment. Its purpose is to provide alternative routes of entry into the industry with the ultimate aim of further diversifying the profession.
We actively encourage young architects from disadvantaged backgrounds and work with local schools to offer work experience. We have academic partnerships with Waltham Forest, Petchey Academy, City Academy, Lammas School, Inspire and the LSA. We are engaged with the Firm Foundations campaign which is affiliated with the Mayor of London’s Diversity Pledge.
As an RIBA Chartered Practice we provide regular Continuing Professional Development sessions to ensure all staff are up-to-date with industry developments and statutory guidance. We educate ourselves by participating in industry knowledge sharing and work with leading consultants.
We are on the Women in Architecture Committee; supporting women to thrive within the architecture profession. We are Women in Architecture mentors and RIBA Guerilla Tactics mentors and a number of the team at HUT lecture in architecture at universities across the UK including UCL, Westminster, Nottingham and Liverpool.
