HUT co-founded ‘Build the Way,’ an innovative traineeship for young Londoners to enter the industry with the mission to positively change the built environment.
We actively encourage young architects from disadvantaged backgrounds and work with local schools to offer work experience. We have academic partnerships with Waltham Forest, Petchey Academy, City Academy, Lammas School, Inspire and the LSA. We are engaged with the Firm Foundations campaign which is affiliated with the Mayor of London’s Diversity Pledge.
As an RIBA Chartered Practice we provide regular Continuing Professional Development sessions to ensure all staff are up-to-date with industry developments and statutory guidance.
We are committee members and mentors for Women in Architecture; supporting women to thrive within the architecture profession. we are RIBA Guerilla Tactics mentors and lecturers in architecture at universities across the UK including UCL, Westminster, Nottingham and Liverpool.
