HUT are designing a coastal home in Woolacombe, Devon. A sensitive approach to the design has been taken, drawing inspiration from the local landscape. This will be apparent in the materials and colour palette used throughout the home. The existing rear elevation has been opened up almost entirely to make the most of 180 degree views of dramatic coast line. A new crisp timber & glass entrance porch slides under the existing overhanging eaves, creating a useful arrival point for the outdoors lifestyle of surfing and hiking. A cantilevered metal & timber stair leads the adults upstairs to a master suite. The home is due to be completed at the end of the summer (just in time!)
