HUT have secured planning permission for the refurbishment of a five storey corner terraced office building in the South Shoreditch conservation area. Sensitive upgrade works include replacement low-level glazing and traditional doors and alterations to floorplates to give a level threshold from street level. Excavations to the existing basement will provide adequate height for office use while a new, set back, glazed modern storey to the fourth floor level will increase the floorspace.
